Ok, so I have never lived in Kansas, but this is going to be an on-going post about the quirks of living in a foreign country.
Driving
Oh.my. That deserves a post all to itself. People here drive (and park) like they all know Jesus and they hate their cars. Suffice it to say, driving here is not for the faint of heart.
The phones
Let's start with the numbers. They're totally different; Longer, written a different way and there are codes you dial when you are in country, codes when you are out of country and your phones do not work as you travel through the EU. At every border, we have to pop in new sim cards so our phones will work in the new country. There's also no verizon store on every corner, so we had to set up our phones online and are fussing with email communication in an effort to get them working. It's been a smidge frustrating. Another quirk is the ring tone you hear when you dial someone and are waiting for them to pick up. It's totally different. No biggie, just a notable difference.
The Addresses
Addresses here are different. Just a street name and a number, followed by a second line of a four digit "zip code" and the name of your town.
